Friday Favorites: Cranberry and plum

Oct 24, 2014

It has been a dreary, wet, and gray last few days in NYC. I am so looking forward to the weekend. Tomorrow, I'll be attending the Simply Stylist conference and I am stoked! Really excited to see some of my celeb faves, Catt Sadler, Joe Zee, and Jamie Chung, network with fellow bloggers, and hear the success stories of female entrepreneurs. Make sure to check back next week when I recap my experience and of course, what I wore.

To get out of the funk, I was really inspired by a new MAC lipstick I bought last week, called Rebel. I am usually a nude or pink lippie kind of girl, and so this was out of my comfort zone. It looked so purple out of the tube, but when applied on my lips it came out as a beautiful deep plum color. Absolutely in love. I think it's a bit bold for my regular daytime work wear, so I can't wait to wear it this weekend. Anyway, it really got my eyes drawn to cranberry and plum shades. The color palette is so deep and rich, it puts me right into that cozy, fall-like mood. (It also reminds me of Thanksgiving, which is by far my favorite holiday because of the food...but I digress!)

Read on to see my favorites for this Friday.

Friday Favorites: Cranberry and plum
1 - The one that started it, MAC Rebel lipstick. For reference, I'm a NC25 in MAC's Pro Longwear foundation, and I think Rebel is my holy grail deep plum color.

2 - For Love and Lemons cropped sweater. Cozy and on point with the ongoing cropped trend.

3 - Stella McCartney bag. Cute and functional.

4 - Minty Meets Munt skirt. This will go perfectly with the For Love and Lemons cropped sweater. I love the little cut-out for visual interest.

5 - Stuart Weitzman boots. The deep plum color in suede is beautiful.

6 - Essie "Bahama Mama". Perfect nail color to match.

7 - Ted Baker pink coat. Ok, so this one isn't really purple, but it's still in the same color family. I love the silhouette of a classic wool coat, and a light pink is so refreshing.
Enjoy the weekend!
