Steely metallic and gray

Jan 13, 2015

I am really loving gray lately, and a lot of my recent outfits have been featuring this color scheme. It's not as "harsh" as black, but not as washed out as white. So of course I paired these neutrals together.
I love the zebra stripes on this Torn by Ronny Kobo sweater. It's an old item in my closet, but is now 75% off (!!) and available here. I was inspired to pair it with a white pencil skirt from Three of Something, which I've also worn here in an all white number.
Never thought I would own a pair of silver metallic pumps because I always thought they tended to be flashy. But I saw them on sale online at Barneys and snagged them during a post-holiday sale. I really liked that they were a dark metallic, versus a straight silver. I cannot wait to pair them with distressed skinnies for a daytime casual look, or leather pants for a date night. I guess I really do get distracted by shiny new objects!
I've also been looking to expand my collection of silver rings. A few weeks ago I started using the Spring app, which offers exclusive products from hundreds of brands, both established and emerging. It's become my favorite app to discover new brands, such as Michelle Campbell Jewelry. I really loved the geometric shape of this chevron ring.
