Before I made the decision to buy, I made sure it ticked off the 3 things I look for in an investment piece, which I wrote about last time. This bag is definitely well constructed, as I was looking for a very structured leather tote bag that didn't lose its shape. It also had to be big enough to carry everyday essentials like my wallet, iPhone, keys, sunglasses, etc, but small enough for running around town and not too "fussy" to handle (like on a crowded subway train or checking out at the grocery store).
It also ticked off my second requirement, which is a unique and classic design. There are hundreds of cross-body tote bags out there, but I never saw one that really suited my tastes. I'm all about minimal design, and Emily Cho's designs are all void of logos and flashiness. It's focused on the functionality and leather construction, which is exactly what I was looking for. The cross-body strap is optional, and also adjustable, which is a nice bonus. I also love that the top of the bag features magnetic closures, so I don't have to fumble around with zippers. Basically, if I was a designer, this would be the type of bag I would try to make!here). This mini tote is the epitome of versatility.
