I was lucky enough to be a recipient of a Burberry scarf over the holidays, as it was something that had always been on my wish list of "classic items" that I wanted to add to my closet, but never could pull the trigger. So when I was able to pick one out as a gift, I tried on literally every color in the store before I settled on a classic neutral, called Heritage Stone. I thought of going more bold (like a blue or red), or choosing something that was out of my comfort zone (like pink), but the light beige was just more flattering for my skin tone. And in thinking of the coats and winter things that I already have, a neutral was definitely the most versatile color. It is the perfect accessory to throw over anything, including this simple yet super cute henley and tailored skinny pants, both of which I got on sale from Intermix. I know I'm going to wear the scarf for years and years, which is why I think investing in classic yet quality pieces is much more worth it when you're on that everlasting quest to build the perfect wardrobe.
