I recently picked up some new duds for fall from Zara, as they are killing it this season with updated jackets and twists on closet staples, perfect for a cost-effective wardrobe refresh. One of my most recent additions is this olive green tweed-like jacket, which reminds of the classic Chanel boucle silhouette but at a much more affordable price point and with contemporary appeal. The other addition in this outfit is this pair of fur-lined slip-on mules. Totally inspired by the omnipresent Gucci loafers, but quite well-constructed and very chic to elevate any outfit. I always look for things that are classic, have an extra unique or "oomph" factor, and can pair well with things I already own. Here I styled the jacket and mules with a nude/blush tank and gray jeans, but I also saw the jacket on a mannequin at Zara with a striped black & white shirt, which I can't wait to replicate. I'm also debuting my new favorite pair of sunglasses from Woodzee with this outfit. Full disclosure: I won this Joshua Tree pair at the Lulu's Style Studio during NYFW, and instantly fell in love with the brand because 1) most of their styles that I tried actually fit my face! and 2) they were all so lightweight and well-made. Definitely check them out, as I love discovering new brands.
