During the week if I have to kill some time before going to dinner or an event after work, I pop into Zara in Soho and peruse casually to see if anything catches my eye. I got pretty lucky last week because I am super excited to add a few new goodies to the sometimes drab assortment of black and beige tones of fall and winter dressing. I try to keep a very edited eye when shopping at Zara, because it's easy to get sucked into the glittery sequins that you know you're only going to wear once to the office party in December. One of the pieces that caught my eye included this sporty sweater with a high-neck zip-up. The circle zipper was a minor yet definitely interesting detail that helped differentiate from a sea of sweaters. I also loved the chevron print at the neck, making it feel collegiate, sporty, but still simple chic. Confession: I couldn't choose between the navy blue version that I'm wearing and one that was a brighter, ecru blue. So yes, I bought both. Shopping problems, I suppose! Unfortunately only the bright blue one is available online, but I bought both colors in-store, so definitely check out your nearest store if you have a chance. With this outfit, I paired the navy blue with one of my favorite pairs of jeans from Rag & Bone, camel suede booties (so good for fall), and a classic trench for the chilly evening commute home.
