We're only into the second week of November, but I already feel exhausted, what with all the end-of-year work shenanigans, holiday planning, and a Thanksgiving beach getaway to look forward to. Every time this season rolls around, I'm one of those people who actually gets anxious about the retail gorge of sales, coupon dumps, and online deals. Sometimes there's just so much noise that I tune it all out and focus on the things that make me happy. Which brings me to these studded beauties. I had been wanting to add a pair of simple black leather booties to my fall/winter shoe collection, as the only black ones I had were these IRO suede ones, which are so not practicable for a New York winter (think rough sidewalks adorned in day-old snow and mush). On my hunt, I knew I wanted a practical heel (2 inches or less) and some type of detail that would feel different from a typical ankle bootie. Enter Rag & Bone. The brand rarely disappoints me, and I knew it was love at first sight when I saw the studded detailing all around the heel and edges. If I didn't have a clothing budget for the month, I would totally scoop them up in this gorgeous red suede, and also white, for those who dare to wear white shoes in New York City :)) With this outfit, I paired them with J Brand distressed gray jeans and this super cute plaid off-the-shoulder top, also from Rag & Bone. Keep to a gray and monotone color scheme by topping it all off with a black leather jacket to stay warm.
