We had a taste of warmness (finally) in February, and everyone seems to have a bit more spring in their step. What better way to usher in the first tastes of spring than with some new white ankle boots! Wearing white shoes in the city is risky, because as much as I hate to think about it, you don't know what you're stepping on while gallivanting on the sidewalks and traipsing from subway to subway. And to have that grime show up on white boots?? The tragedy, haha. I'm pretty careful about keeping nice shoes clean and pristine, so I am definitely going to be babying these. When I saw them available on Rag & Bone, I immediately pictured pairing them with every type of skinny pant/jean imaginable, topped with tees, blazers, and floral blouses. The slim profile heel sealed the deal for me, and since I already own several other varieties of Rag & Bone shoes, I knew it would be quality construction. The leather is very soft and pliable, so it wasn't even stiff upon the first wear. I also used arch inserts (what would I do without Dr. Scholl's) for maximum comfort, which help make these 4-inch babies totally walkable. With this outfit, I kept it simple with a downtown vibe in skinny black pants, white V-neck tee, and my favorite leather jacket.
