Silk + flares

Frame le high flares and silk blouse
I think if I were to be reborn to live freely as an adult in any decade, it would be the 1970s. This desire is partially fueled by The Get Down, as it is such a vibrant and different show than any other. The music is pumping, the characters are gritty, and the fashion brings you to a world on the brink of a cultural transition. To transport yourself back, it all starts with the perfect pair of pants. Dramatic, flared bell-bottoms elevate even a basic tee, and it's even better paired with a feminine blouse tucked in. I last wore my favorite FRAME flares with a baby blue lace top, and wanted to contrast the fresh denim hue with a black silky blouse. I love the peek of a white bootie from underneath the flare, which I highly recommend hemming to your height plus 3-4 inches of a heel, to ensure a perfect leg-lengthening effect. Now I'm going to get back to Part 2 on Netflix and continue drooling over the wide-legged culottes and sparkly, sexy dresses.
